Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy: A 4-Year Review of Our Experience

Introduction: Cardiac Resynchronization therapy (CRT) is very significant in the management of Heart Failure with electrical dyssynchrony. This dyssynchrony measured using QRS duration on ECG. CRT has been shown to reduce mortality and improve symptoms heart failure. The objective study review 4-year experience implantation, complications challenges implantation. Methods materials: was a retrospective study. We searched cath labs Bayelsa Specialist Hospital, Cardiocare Hospital retrieve all implanted within 1st January, 2018 30th June, 2022. Data collected were indications, implant, complications, failure implant reason for Results: A total 32 during period. There 20 men who received device. CRT-D twenty-eight, four CRT-P implanted. mean 2 hours 40 minutes. Conclusion: now commonly high success rate. complication ranges from non mild there dramatic patient improvement.
